No Lingerie… No Problem
I get so many questions about lingerie it’s insane. Now let me tell you, not all boudoir photographers choose to have a client closet and that’s ok. For those of us that do, just like every other aspect of our business’ we run it how we choose to and based on our morals, codes, and who we are as people. So dont bash someone who doesn’t, honestly it’s taken me 7 years to build what I have right now. I dont have any of the lingerie I started out with but that’s ok haha half of that was outdated then so I can only imagine now. lol anyways we’ve got much prettier sets now anyways lol
Ok, so the question was, “What if I dont have any lingerie”
So there are a few points to this question,
1. You never have to feel obligated to wear lingerie. Everything is based on your comfort level, and while my job is to help push you a little bit, I will never make you do anything you’re uncomfortable with. This is a completely safe space to be yourself, I pride myself on having a non judgmental safe studio space for everyone. So if you dont want to wear lingerie, you dont have to. Just make sure to tell me during your phone consult and we can come up with some other options that you would love.
2. You dont need to go out and purchase anything if you dont want to. There are other options. Does your partner have a favorite shirt or work shirt you can steal for the day? Bring that bitch in and we’ll incorporate it into your session no problem! Lingerie not your thing? No problem, a bra and panty set (matching or non matching) works too! Again you never have to wear or do anything you’re uncomfortable with. We are all in different stages of our self love journey so dont sweat it!
3. You love the lingerie but never could quite figure out what to purchase for your body type? Because let’s be real lingerie is not made equal for all body types, even though at this point it really fucking should be. You’ve got a couple options, you can either not purchase anything and come by the studio to look at our collection of over 250 pieces on lingerie and the shit ton of body jewelry we have, or we can go shopping together! I love helping you all online shop! I know sometimes finding some lingerie that you feel good in and love can be difficult so im here to help any way I can!
Ok, but what about couples sessions? Like what do the men wear?
That’s an easy one! Couples sessions honestly are so much fun, now when it comes to what the man wears that’s all on y’all lol. I think once I find a good pair of grey sweatpants that I love I might keep those in the client closet for couples sessions but other than that the meant just bring their own garments. I do however recommend men bringing 2 pairs of underwear choices, and a pair of jeans, grey sweatpants, or dress clothes. Again it all depends on the look you two would want but again im happy to help if y’all need any help choosing. The women however get all options listed above!
